My name is Becky Condie, and I’m a home baker based in St. George, Utah. I teach science full time and am now in my third year in the classroom. When I’m not teaching or baking, I love riding bikes, paddle boarding, gardening, and spending quality time with my husband and dog.
My journey as a baker started long before Desert Flower Sweets. What began as stress baking during college has grown into something truly special. I practiced and improved my skills working in a retail bakery where I made thousands of cakes. (I did the math, it was literally thousands) I was honored to serve as the assistant manager, overseeing cake production and managing supply orders there. After finishing my degree I parted with the bakery and began my teaching career. I love teaching, but I needed a creative outlet. That is when I started Desert Flower Sweets.
This little business has allowed me to continue my hobby of baking. I love connecting with customers, hearing their ideas, and bringing their sweet visions to life. Watching my little business grow and reach new milestones fills me with pride. Recently, I bought my first house, and I’m grateful for how far I’ve come both personally and professionally.
